A small town, Dalian swiftly transports you from city life to vast fields and pomegranate orchards. The long water font, offering numerous seating options from different angles, remains captivating. The unspoiled turtle island is unique, making comparisons challenging. The boat journey through marshes to reach it is a treat for the eyes. The ancient ruins, tombs, and multilayered history make it appealing for history enthusiasts and enjoyable for everyone.
The town is remarkably clean, boasting a rich gastronomy scene with friendly locals who mostly speak and understand English well, a rarity in Turkey. Choosing accommodation, we highly recommend Beas Villas.
Situated a stones throw away from the city center, it is conveniently located yet distant enough for a serene atmosphere. The villas offer delicious food and breakfast, and the kitchen staff is always available. The spacious balconies with dining tables and chairs provide a homely space to unwind with a glass of beer or wine.
Palm trees towered in front of our balcony, a comfortable hammock tied between them offering a cozy spot to relax with the bright blue sky as the backdrop to green leaves reaching towards the heavens.
Charming wooden shacks provide another cool spot for family or friends, while the poolside offers reclining chairs for a refreshing drink after a swim or comfortable sofas on the other side.
Dalyan offers a plethora of activities, tempting you to explore all day, as we did. However, Beyaz Villa's inviting atmosphere encourages at least one rest day within the villa – a regret we share.
